Last night, I was honoured to once again MC the Opening Ceremonies of the South Mountain Fair. This year, there was an extra special connection.

One of my volunteer projects in 2022 was helping plan the renovation and enhancement of the Lila Fawcett Exhibit Hall, named after my late Grandma Lila.

As part of the legacy project, we unveiled a new mural showcasing some of the Fair’s history and a special portrait of Grandma Lila that will be displayed inside the Hall each year at Fair weekend.

Special thanks to local artists Carrie Keller (mural) and Hugh Metcalfe (portrait) for their wonderful talents to the project.
