2023 Presidents Message

Hi All

The Mountain Township Agricultural Society is pleased to welcome everyone to our 131st South Mountain Fair. We are excited to have you join us for a fun filled weekend of agricultural events and exhibits, entertainment, midway rides, and delicious fair food.

We have made an adjustment to the schedule and moved the Demolition Derby to Thursday night and the Truck Pull to Friday night. This year we have added the Grain Farmers of Ontario Grain Discovery Zone on Saturday and Sunday and there will be a new toddler bouncy castle next to the Children’s Entertainment tent. Black Creek Rodeo is back for 2 shows and the entertainment lineup will have something for all ages.

We have been faced with significant increases in costs for many of the fair attractions and services and have had to increase our admission prices. We hope that you will agree that our one price admission ticket as well as grounds pass availability on Saturday and Sunday are still great value.

We are very grateful to our many sponsors whose financial and in-kind support make the fair possible. We thank and hope to again see our dedicated patrons – children and youth, adults, and seniors – all helping us continue to be ‘A Fair to Remember’.

The final piece of the picture are the many volunteers who support the Fair with hours, weeks, months, or many years of their time and talents. I would like to thank the MTAS Board of Directors, Committee members, and event coordinators for their contributions and commitment.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend spending time with family and friends at the fair.

Respectfully,

Chloe Preston, President
