4-H Dairy Achievement program – Saturday

Saturday, August 19 @ 11:30 am

The 4-H program is a community organization for young people between the ages of 9 and 21 years old.  The primary purpose of the 4-H program is the development of youth in Ontario.  Members are encouraged to develop their self- confidence and leadership skills while having fun.  4-H Ontario Vision will be recognized for delivering quality, innovative and sustainable leadership and life skill programs for youth and volunteers; who benefit the citizens and communities in which we live.

The Dundas County 4-H Association anticipates that the exhibits of the 4-H members in Dundas County at this Achievement Program will fulfill the 4-H Moto of:  “Learn To Do By Doing”.  At South Mountain Fair, the 4-H members will be exhibiting their 4-H projects from all aspects of the 4-H Program in Dundas County.

You can visit the Dundas County 4-H Achievement Projects in the Exhibit Hall where you can view items from the Lifeskills and Field Crops throughout the fair.  On Saturday, the 4-H Dairy Achievement Program will commence at 11:30, while the Sunday 4-H Beef Achievement Program will commence at 10:00, featuring Angus and Piedmontese breeds.

For over 100 years, 4-H Ontario volunteers, members and staff have worked together to create one of the foremost leadership programs for youth. For details on 4-H, please visit our website at www.4-hontario.ca
